The Vendor is required to provide fatigue modeling software with the following qualities:
• Accepts work shift patterns & schedules, including various breaks within schedules, as inputs and analyzes the fatigue risk of schedules and individual shift according to a FAID or FAST bio mathematical fatigue risk model.
• Allows for adjustment of base assumptions in the fatigue analysis (factors like expected rest and quality of rest).
• Allows users to include varied amounts of overtime hours as part of fatigue analysis.
• Allows user to easily compare several schedule scenarios.
• Ability to export data via API or file export.
• Provides reliable and secure operation by schedulers and back-end office staff.
• Easy to understand/interpret fatigue analysis outputs.
• Easy to use interface.
- Software to assess the safety risk of various hypothetical employee schedules based on a variety of factors, including hours worked per day and week, concentration of hours worked, consistency of schedule, circadian rhythms, and day vs. nighttime work, using one of two agency-approved bio mathematical models to assess fatigue risk: FAID (fatigue audit interdyne) or FAST (fatigue avoidance scheduling tool).
