The vendor is required to provide route management system for route optimization, real-time tracking, and service management.
- Core capabilities
1. Route planning and optimization
•    Automated routing for residential, commercial, and brush services
•    Re-routing capabilities for missed pickups, new developments, and construction closures
2. Onboard technology
•    In-cab hardware or app-based mobile interface for route guidance
•    Driver alerts, service notes, and work order display
3. Real-time vehicle tracking
•    Live GPS location of all units
•    Progress monitoring by route and service type
•    Exception reporting (e.g., blocked containers, missed service)
4. Service verification
•    Photo and video capture of collection events
•    Time- and location-stamped activity logs
5. Work order management
•    Requests for missed pickups, container repairs, or special services
•    Assignment, dispatch, and tracking of work orders
6. System integration
•    Compatibility with utility billing software
•    GIS data integration.

•    RFID and barcode container tracking
•    Container inventory and maintenance tracking
•    Customer notification system (text/email/phone alerts)
•    Public-facing customer portal for service schedules, missed pickups, or issue reporting
•    Recycling participation and contamination tracking tools
