The vendor is required to provide ticketing system and services that meet the following requirements:
- Core ticketing system features:
• Reserved seating:
o Interactive, online seat maps allowing patrons to select their specific seats in real-time.
o Real-time seat availability updates to prevent double bookings across all sales channels.
o Capability to hold or block seats for internal use, VIPs, or accessibility needs.
o Option to offer "best available" seating if a patron prefers.
• Online sales portal:
o Fully branded and customizable ticketing pages integrated seamlessly with the met theatre's existing website (or the ability to provide a standalone, co-branded portal).
o Secure online payment processing with support for major credit cards (visa, Mastercard, American Express, discover), PayPal, apple pay, google pay, and other common digital payment methods.
o Direct deposit of sales revenue into met theatre's bank account (as sales occur or on a frequent, agreed-upon schedule).
o Mobile-friendly interface for ticket purchasing and delivery.
o Ability to offer and manage various ticket types (e.g., adult, child, senior, student, group rates, VIP).
o Support for promotional codes, discounts, and package deals (e.g., flex bundles, mini-series, season tickets).
• Box office operations:
o User-friendly interface for in-person ticket sales and management.
o Support for multiple payment methods at the box office (cash, credit card, check).
o Ability to print physical tickets (thermal ticket printing) or issue e-tickets.
o Real-time synchronization between online and box office sales.
o Capability for easy ticket exchanges, refunds, and reissues.
o Robust search functions for patron and ticket information.
• Ticket delivery and scanning:
o E-ticket delivery via email with unique barcodes and QR codes for scanning.
o Mobile ticket delivery options.
o Efficient and reliable ticket scanning capabilities (using mobile devices or dedicated scanners) for quick entry at events.
o Real-time attendance tracking.
- Patron management and marketing:
• Customer relationship management (CRM) features:
o Capture and store comprehensive patron data (contact information, purchase history, attendance records).
o Ability to segment patron data for targeted marketing.
o Data ownership by the met theatre.
