The vendor is required to provide dental laboratory support program for the dental clinical programs of the board, including the following:
• Provide all dental laboratory services
• Pick-up and delivery schedule
• All necessary staff and equipment
• Training board staff on lab procedures
- Requirement
• A pick-up and delivery schedule for 11 clinics (listed below) must be submitted.
• This schedule must include the number of days required by the lab for various procedures and should address special requests by the board such as next day services or the opportunity for board of health staff to visit the lab to evaluate infection control procedures, discuss quality control issues or meet with laboratory technician to discuss unique or complicated cases.
• A quality assurance program which includes quality management of the laboratory services and an information feedback mechanism concerning the quality of cases received from the board.
• An infection control program which describes the roles of both the laboratory and the board to assure the minimization of risk of cross contamination and the safety of the lab staff, board staff and patients.
• An in-house tracking system which can identify where cases are in the laboratory system between time of pick up and time of delivery and assure that cases are not mislabeled, lost, etc.
• A billing system which allows for billing and invoicing each clinical site separately (as though each were a separate account).
• A removable prosthesis patient identification system, including how dentures will be labeled and how this service will be billed.
