Lottery Business Intelligence Support System

The vendor is required to provide lottery business intelligence (BI) system and services that will allow the lottery to transform data into information that can be used to make more informed and more profitable business decisions, without degrading system performance.
- General requirements
•    The contractor shall administer, manage, and coordinate the design, development, implementation, and on-going operation of the BI system using contractor provided hardware, software, and staff.
•    Provide professional guidance, recommendations and assistance with other activities related to the lottery’s BI environment, including, but not limited to: documenting, maintaining, enhancing or replacing the current environment, designing or implementing new BI systems, solutions, or applications, and onboarding new data sources.
•    Change control document will be maintained which will document all changes needed, identifying the objects that need to be changed, how they will be changed, reason for change, etc.
•    The BI system shall provide the lottery with a data warehouse or data lake consisting of gaming system transactions to the most granular level including terminal-based data, along with other internal and external data (e.g., economic, market, geographic, and demographic)
•    The Bi system shall provide the lottery with analytical tools that use the data to make more informed business decisions, including but not limited to decision support systems, executive information systems, online analytical processing, query and reporting, data mining, and operational data services.
•    Provide the staff to design, build, and implement the BI system as well as the staff to provide ongoing support and maintenance of the BI system.
•    Provide data extraction of the BI system data and metadata at end or termination of the contract, along with related documentation such as data definitions and data dictionaries, in a format to be determined by the lottery
•    Provide full-time staff for ongoing BI operations that includes, but is not limited to, database administration, systems administration, data quality administration, training, and customer service and support.
•    Include one (1) dedicated BI analyst for ad hoc reporting requests from the lottery.
•    data within the business intelligence service shall be maintained and stored for the life of the contract.
•    Load historical lottery data from the previous system.
