The Vendor is required to provide have functional and technical knowledge, skills, and experience in business intelligence and data warehouse (BI&DW) tools, frameworks, standards, processes, and architectures.
- The role will work closely with business subject matter experts, and BI&DW project team. As an integral part of the team, the role is to help agency build better products with faster and better data and insights.
- Business intelligence and data warehouse implementation project director or designee and may be assigned one or more teams/programs/projects during the services period.
- Tasks including but not limited to:
• Work with data architects, business analysts, Extract Transformation Load (ETL) developers, and business stakeholders to design, develop, and deliver high standard Business Intelligence (BI) solutions.
• This can include, but is not limited to, enterprise analytical reports, dashboards, data warehouse, Data Lake, data marts, and ETL processes.
• Integrate Generative AI capabilities with BI&DW platform to automatically generate business insights and recommendations, reducing the need for manual data analysis and interpretation, leading to faster decision-making.
• Leverage machine learning and artificial intelligence to provide predictive business insights to anticipate future trends and opportunities.
• Understand user expectations and create functional design documents and solutions based on the business requirements.
• Drive requirements through cross functional collaborations and connect dots from different requirements sources.
• Analyze product performance, identify key metrics, and build analytical reports and dashboards to meet business needs, implement the high priority initiatives, and instill discipline and accountability into the product development process.
• Lead and conduct functional testing of the Business Intelligence solutions, thereby responsible for certification of product release before user acceptance.
• Encourage best practices and apply them in the team - responsible for functional product quality.
• Build queries and large quantities of data by using Structural Query Language (SQL), or other data and statistical tools as well as reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker, etc.
• Execute deep dives into available data sets to provide insight on product quality performance and ensure a good user experience in support reports and dashboards.
• Perform ongoing monitoring and optimization of reports and analytical solutions.
• Review and provide any potential revisions to deliverables/documents to include conceptual/logical/physical data models, data dictionaries, data ETL plans, etc.
• Review and recommend any potential revisions to data related processes to include data integration, data conversion, data replication, data migration, etc.
• Communicate timely to resolve technical issues and risks.
• Develop user documentation and a variety of visual representation of data analysis and ensure consistency and accuracy of data and analysis provided.
• Provide written weekly and/or monthly reports detailing various technical findings that may impact schedules, resources, and activities, etc.
