The vendor is required to provide digital signage content management system (CMS) software solution platform and associated services compatible with agency existing digital signage infrastructure.
a. Hardware compatibility:
• The digital signage software platform must be fully compatible with our installed fleet of system-on-chip (soc) commercial display monitors, which include a custom firmware package developed for and preloaded with a lightweight signage client application.
• The solution must support remote device management, content scheduling, and playback without requiring external media players or firmware modifications.
b. Software interoperability:
• Solution must natively support communication with signage displays using a secure cloud-based architecture that conforms to the device’s existing embedded signage client protocols.
• No third-party middleware or custom integration development shall be required to achieve this compatibility.
c. Continuity of service:
• To maintain uninterrupted digital signage operations and preserve agency investment in recently upgraded displays, the solution must provide direct replacement capabilities for the signage management platform previously used, with no loss of functionality in:
o Real-time content delivery
o Remote firmware updates
o Display group management
o Custom alert messaging
o Health monitoring and reporting

• Platform certification: demonstrated expertise in digital signage platforms
• Cloud infrastructure: proven cloud hosting with 99.9% uptime SLA capability
• Security standards: soc 2 type ii compliance or equivalent security certification
• Integration experience: documented experience with weather data and RSS feed integrations

• Single screen support: native support for single display configurations
• Content management: web-based CMS with unlimited content storage
• User management: multi-user access with role-based permissions
• Automatic updates: automated software upgrade capability
• Weather integration: real-time weather data service integration
• RSS feed support: custom RSS feed creation and management
- Performance requirements
• Response time: maximum 3-second page load times
• Uptime guarantee: 99.9% minimum uptime SLA with penalties for non-compliance
• Scalability: ability to handle 10x current user and content volume
• Backup and recovery: daily automated backups with 4-hour recovery time objective
• Security: data encryption in transit and at rest
- Support capability:
• Technical support available during business hours (8 am - 5 pm Est, Monday-Friday) for routine questions, training, non-critical hours, within 30-minutes from support request.
• Emergency technical support for critical system failures that impact operations may be before or after-hours for urgent issues.
