The Vendor is required to provide with a web-based .net LIMS system that has comparable functionality found in our current client/server LIMS system.
- Requesting both ongoing maintenance and support, as well as additional development and enhancements to increase the functionality of the system, and to improve the user interface for internal and external users.
- Bureau currently utilizes a laboratory information management system (LIMS) system, which is the forensic evidence tracking system used by the investigators.
- Tasks as part of this project:
• Convert existing Oracle production data to MSSQL database;
• Install .Net BEAST LIMS software on SFM production servers;
• Provide hardware and licenses for .Net BEAST LIMS; and
• Provide Project Management responsibilities-scope, risk, management, reporting and oversight.
- Provide the following deliverables as part of this project:
• Design and Implement BEAST for Prelog, Property and Evidence and Crime Lab Requirements.
• Perform Data Migration from the Production Client/Server BEAST to the newly configured .Net system.
• Implement Active Directory Sign-On for BEAST login.
• Migrate the new .Net system from the Development environment to the Production environment.
• Provide Administrator Training for ongoing Configuration and Support.
• Provide Go Live support and then transition SFM to standard technical Support and Maintenance and Enhancements.
- Configuration:
• Prelog Setup (DEV) Installation;
• Configuration;
• Service requests will be configured; and
• Submission receipt.
- Application configuration to mirror existing lab processes Database Panel (DB Panel) configuration:
• Database Grid (DB Grid) configuration;
• Management reports will be converted;
• Standard Notifications and Action Items; and
• Public email notifications for completed reports.

• Windows Server 2019 or higher with 32 Gig RAM
• Partitioned for C and D drives. 500GB / 1TB and expandable)
• IIS 10.0 .NET framework 4.8 minimum
• Crystal Reports 2023 64-bit runtime
• DMZ access or High availability may require additional servers.
