The Vendor is required to provide for the design, implementation, and integration of a state-of-the-art parking access and revenue control system (PARCS) to supersede the existing infrastructure.
- The work for this project includes, but is not limited to: removal of existing equipment and installation of a new state-of-the-art parking access and revenue control system, refurbishment of designated booths inclusive of painting, metal repair, roofing and related finishes, installation of new HVAC and lighting with associated ductwork repairs and replacement, design and install integra table security cameras and door control system for all garage pedestrian entrances, miscellaneous coordination, together with all incidental work thereto and in accordance with the proposal documents, as well as preventative maintenance and repair services at the new haven parking authority facilities involving 7 parking garages and 8 surface lots.
- System manufacturer will have the full responsibility for: (1) Instructing the Contractor on the required configuration of joints and (2) Reviewing and approving tooled joints constructed as a part of surface preparation prior to installing the sealant.
- The sealant shall be installed in floor cracks, construction and/or control joints in the areas shown on drawings or designated by the Consultant. In the case of repair of existing cracks that are sealed or filled with other materials, the existing sealant material shall be raked out and the exposed concrete cleaned by sandblasting or grinding at those locations designated for repair.
- Furnish labor, materials and equipment for sealing and caulking of cracks, construction or control joints and cove in the reinforced concrete structural slabs as shown on drawings or designated by the Consultant.
- Saturate the surface dry with water so that it maintains a dark gray color one half hour before placing.
- This work shall consist of the removal of existing unsound concrete to required depth and the installation of a trowel applied, fast-setting cement mortar at locations indicated on drawings and/or at other locations designated by the Engineer.
- Use high-range water-reducing admixture (Super-plasticizer) in concrete for placement and workability.
- This work shall consist of full/partial depth removal of concrete slabs at locations indicated on the drawings using jackhammers and placing new, low water cementitious materials ratio, fiber-reinforced, air-entrained structural concrete according to the specifications.
- Work shall include the provision of tooled joints between new and existing concrete surfaces, and at designated locations and spacing as directed by the Engineer; Contractor shall verify placement of joints at time of concrete placement.
- This request also encompasses the replacement and modernization of associated parking booths, as well as designing and installing security cameras and a door control system for all Garage pedestrian entrances that integrates with the new PARCS system.
- This includes providing all necessary labor, materials, equipment, and supervision to replace the existing system while ensuring full operational capability upon completion.
- The provider will also deliver comprehensive staff training and ongoing warranty and maintenance support.
