Electronic Syllabus Management Software

The vendor is required to provide syllabus management solution that centralizes syllabus creation, storage, and publication.
- Platform should ensure compliance with state requirements while improving the accessibility, accuracy, and timeliness of syllabus information for students, faculty, and the public.
- Syllabi are managed in a decentralized manner, with individual instructors and departments maintaining their own versions and posting them through various channels. 
- This approach creates challenges in ensuring uniform compliance with content requirements, tracking changes, and meeting accessibility standards. 
- A centralized electronic syllabus management system will provide a standardized template, integrate with existing learning management systems and institutional databases, and offer robust reporting tools to monitor compliance.
- Requirement
•    Syllabi to be electronically available on a publicly accessible website. 
•    Accessible from the main page of the state institution's website by use of not more than three links
•    Searchable by keywords and phrases and perform advanced search with Boolean operators to meet public inquiry needs.
•    Accessible to the public without requiring user registration of any kind.
•    Provide audit reports of courses without syllabi or with incomplete syllabi and confirm ability to filter by term, department, course number, instructor name; or dashboard for tracking compliance rates by instructor.
•    Automated reminders to instructors and chairs when a syllabus is missing or incomplete.
•    University needs a written integration strategy, along with any available APIs for each module in the solution. 
•    Provide data formats for exportable data and provide a cost structure, if any, for exporting university data into a university-wide data warehouse. 
•    University has full rights to its data stored in the solution and will be able to retrieve all data following the end of any agreement or engagement with the vendor
•    Provide course syllabi as web pages and avoid pdfs. 
•    If the solution does provide pdfs, they must meet accessibility requirements outlined.
•    Provide a modern user interface that is easy to use by non-technical users.
•    Provide explicit compliance for all web-based content and templates; accessibility testing and remediation process included in vendor responsibilities.
•    Integration with LMS (Canvas) to pull syllabus data directly or link to published syllabus.
•    Tiered support model with defined response times.
