Modern Data Platform

The vendor is required to provide modern data platform, including delivery of the initial use cases that establish the foundation for university data and analytics program.
- Requirements
•    Provision and configure snowflake environment in alignment with university cloud, security, and data governance standards.
•    Support ingestion and integration of data from core systems (initially workday and potentially banner), enabling structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.
•    Implement role-based access controls, encryption, and audit logging consistent with university data classification and security policies.
•    Deliver at least two initial use cases (e.g., workday crosswalk reporting, financial reporting, or student analytics) as part of implementation.
•    Provide metadata capture and lineage integration with university data management tools (e.g., data cookbook, future catalog and lineage solutions).
•    Enable observability across performance monitoring, cost optimization, and scalability features inherent to snowflake (e.g., auto-scaling, workload isolation).
•    Knowledge transfer, documentation, and training to university staff to support ongoing operations.
•    Ensure solution is extensible to support future institutional priorities such as advanced analytics, AI and ML, and self-service BI.
