Voting Equipment Certification Services

The Vendor is required to provide to establish a contract with one or more qualified suppliers through competitive negotiations to provide certification services of voting machines, electronic poll books (EPBS), and related equipment. 
- Voting systems include electronic voting and counting machines used in elections, including ballot scanner machines, on-demand ballot printing systems, and ballot marking devices used to manufacture or produce ballots to be cast by voters on electronic voting and counting machines.
- For certification purposes voting systems include the combination of mechanical, electromechanical, and electronic equipment, including the software, firmware, and documentation required to program, control, and support the equipment used to define ballots, cast and count votes, report or display election results, recount votes, and maintain and produce any audit trail information.
- Simulate pre-election, Election Day, absentee, recounts, and post-election activities on the equipment and corresponding components of the equipment for five (5) election scenarios and one (1) recount.
- Verify modem transmission of the equipment (if applicable).
- Verify security features of the equipment data transmission feature (if applicable).
- The following materials are expected to be supplied by the contractor to facilitate testing:
•    USB Flash Drives, PC Cards, Compact Flash, and Zip disks
•    Power Cords
•    Paper Rolls
•    Marking Devices
•    Pressurized air cans
•    Lint-free cloth
•    Cleaning pad and isopropyl rubbing alcohol
•    Labels
•    Other materials and equipment as required
- All associated services needed for voting equipment or etc.

- Contract Period/Term: 4 years
