The Vendor is required to provide a comprehensive labor market analytics platform that supports university’s academic program portfolio management.
- The platform will inform credit and non-credit program development, assessment of graduate outcomes, alignment with workforce demand, and targeted marketing strategies.
- The university employs approximately 2,800 faculty and staff (about 1,800 staff and 1,100 faculty) and delivers instruction in face-to face, online asynchronous, virtual synchronous, and hybrid formats.
- The platform will be used by academic colleges, university leadership, institutional analytics, career services, marketing, and advancement offices to inform decision-making, optimize academic program offerings, support students’ career transition, and strengthen community engagement.
- The platform should include the following capabilities:
• Real-Time Labor Market Intelligence
o Provide daily updated job postings aggregated from major online job boards and professional networks (e.g., LinkedIn, Indeed, ZipRecruiter).
o Allow filtering by geography, industry, occupation, and required skills.
• Graduate Outcomes and Pathways
o Include tools to analyze and visualize institutional graduate outcomes, including employment sectors, job placements, wage trends, and/or career pathways.
o Support integration of alumni data, where possible, to assess student success beyond graduation.
• Gap and Alignment Analysis
o Provide analytic tools to identify areas of alignment and misalignment between current university academic offerings and regional, state, and national workforce demand.
o Enable “what if” modeling for potential new programs, micro credentials, and certificates.
• Comprehensive Labor Market Data Integration
o Integrate multiple data sources, including employment statistics, wage and earnings data, demographic trends, and industry/occupation forecasts, into a centralized and accessible platform.
o Ensure transparent documentation of data sources and methodologies.
• Interactive Platform and Reporting
o Offer user-friendly, interactive platform and reports designed for both technical and nontechnical users.
o Support customizable reporting and data visualization to meet the needs of academic planning, program review, enrollment marketing, and workforce development.
o Provide functionality for regional, county, state, and national comparisons.
• System Requirements
o Ensure the platform is updated regularly with current data.
o Offer intuitive navigation and functionality for end-users across campus.
o Deliver updated information to university in a format that can be integrated into the CRM.
o Provide flexible, role-based access for different types of users (e.g., viewer, administrator, advanced user) to enable cross-unit or institution-wide access while minimizing overall tool cost.
- Comprehensive Labor Market Data Coverage
• Data must cover more than 99% of the country workforce.
• Sources must include, at a minimum:
o Government data (e.g., BLS, Census), available down to the ZIP code level
o Online profiles and résumés
o Online job postings (e.g., LinkedIn, Indeed, ZipRecruiter)
o Compensation and wage data
• Data must support program alignment with regional workforce needs and provide insight into regional economic and industry activity.
• Data must be displayed through visual representations (e.g., charts, graphs, dashboards).
- User-Friendly Reports and Analytics
• The platform must include intuitive, web-based reports accessible to both technical and nontechnical users.
• Reports must allow institutional stakeholders to:
o Analyze top industries at the regional, county, and city levels.
o Compare local trends against state and national labor markets.
o Generate customizable reports and visualizations.
- Web-Based Solution
• The platform must be fully web-based.
• No integration with university internal systems should be required for core functionality.
