The Vendor is required to provide a comprehensive Universal ID Badge System.
- This system shall include the hardware, software, supplies, and services required to create, manage, and integrate ID badges for all students across 52 schools in the district.
- Solution must ensure interoperability with existing district systems, including but not limited to: transportation, school nutrition program POS, student information systems, school library systems, and emergency response systems.
- Solution must provide all students with technology ID badges that can be used around the District.
- Solution must include school site equipment for creation and management of new and replacement full color badges.
- System operates 52 schools and centers. Total enrollment is approximately 36,000 students. On average elementary schools include 300-800 students, middle schools include 450-750 students, K-8 schools include 400-1700 students, and high schools include 120-1500 students.
- Student ID badges should be two-sided, full color picture ID.
- The badges should include a unique student photo, name, barcode, and school logo at minimum.
- supply all required Badging System components including hardware, software, licenses, project management, training, integration and support for chosen platform and manufacturers.
- The implementation partner will provide comprehensive training to include system administration, configuration, troubleshooting, day-to-day administration, hardware maintenance, specific end user role training, and normal end user use.
- ID Badge System Requirements
• Design and production of durable, secure photo ID badges
• Role-based badge templates (e.g., student allergen, school logos, etc)
• Barcode, that aligns with code 39 symbology
• Print-on-demand
• Badge personalization (name, role, school, photo, barcode, etc.)
- Technology & System Integration
• The system must integrate with the following district platforms and departments:
• Student Information System (SIS – e.g., PowerSchool)
• Transportation systems (e.g., bus boarding and routing tools, CalAmp)
• Student Tardy Systems, (Raptor)
• Point-of-sale systems (e.g., cafeteria services, Heartland)
• Library/media center systems (e.g., Follet Destiny Library Manager)
• Emergency management and reunification systems (Raptor)
• The proposed software system may be compatible with existing District ID printer (Magicard 600 Duo, Fargo DTC4500e Dual Sided ID Card Printer, Magicard Enduro 3E (V2), AlphaCard PRO 700 Dual Sided ID Card Printer) hardware and may also provide new hardware for schools as needed.
