Real Time Location System

The vendor is required to provide real-time location system (RTLS) to enhance equipment tracking, staff safety, environmental monitoring, and operational workflow optimization.
- The RTLS system must integrate with existing clinical systems, provide room-level accuracy, and support real-time analytics for predictive and responsive hospital operations.
- RTLS system requirements
1. Asset tracking
•    Real-time visibility of tagged equipment with room-level accuracy.
•    Real-time latency (5 seconds or less).
•    Accuracy within 3 meters or better 90% of the time.
•    Equipment tags with programmable buttons for custom functions (clean, dirty, needs maintenance, etc.).
•    Equipment status automation (available, in use, being cleaned, soiled, maintenance).
•    Par-level dashboards by location, room type, department, and asset type with status indicators.
•    Asset utilization dashboard with:
o    Current status per asset
o    Time spent in each status
o    Utilization % by type, location and department
o    Query filters by asset type, department, and location
2. Security and safety
•    Wearable badges with programmable buttons for panic alerts or custom functions.
•    Room-level location accuracy.
•    Alert escalation, response logging, and reporting.
•    Metrics including:
o    Staff role and id
o    Incident location
o    Department
o    Time of day and week
o    Responding officer id
o    Acknowledgment and response times
3. Environmental monitoring
•    Support for custom alert algorithms based on university policies in alignment with joint commission.
•    Real-time tracking of temperature, humidity, air pressure, air quality, and light level.
•    Dashboards for refrigerator and freezer monitoring.
•    Alerts for excursions with automated documentation for joint commission, compliance.
4. Handwashing 
•    Support for custom algorithms based on university policies in alignment with joint commission for tracking and reporting. 
•    Support handwash dispenser level monitoring and reporting to EVS staff.
