RFP Description
The Vendor is required to provide to gather information from various traffic management platforms solutions and understand modern technology enhancements that are available in the intelligent traffic management space. - The goal is to enhance roadway safety, roadway system reliability, reduce incident response times, and improve tracking of public notification. - User Interface & Core Functionality • The platform offers a map-based, user friendly, intuitive operator interface with customizable operational layers, filters, and reporting tools to measure performance. • The platform offers real-time dashboard views showing network-wide congestion, incidents, alerts, and performance metrics. • The platform offers web-based access, with scalability to support regional/multi-jurisdictional environments. • The platform displays RTC ITS equipment locations in selectable map layers with the equipment type and associated name that is visible on the map view. • The platform displays CCTV traffic camera locations and can provide CCTV traffic video feed. • The platform provides updated satellite views which are updated at least every two years. • Ability to generate customizable performance reports (PDF, Excel, Dashboards) • Ability to support ad-hoc queries and data exports for research or auditing. - Data Source & AI Capabilities • The platform utilizes in-vehicle or mobile data sources (OEMs, mobile apps) and ensures compliance with data privacy regulations. • The platform uses AI to provide real-time traffic insights that maximize system reliability by providing multiple validation sources. • The platform includes AI-based automated incident detection features that distinguish between planned and unplanned events which reduce detection and response time. • The platform includes methods to validate, clean, and enhance incoming data to support accurate forecasting, reporting, and real-time response from various disparate sources including ingesting of API’s, weather, and events • The platform forecasts future traffic conditions by combining current major traffic impacts with historical traffic flow data. Users can apply filters to generate a visual traffic impact map that shows projected conditions over a selected time scale. - Incident Management and Notifications • The platform supports customizable alerts and notifications that integrate with public-facing systems. • The platform provides users alerts of new incidents with a severity level notification. • The platform allows users to filter incident types and merge related incidents. • The platform provides in-progress time trackers for active incidents. - The platform offers API’s to allow for the retrieval of incident data to be used for monthly and quarterly reporting purposes. - The platform includes APIs that support integration with existing TMC systems and external data sources (e.g., Motorola Spillman Flex CAD, PulsePoint, and public safety dashboards.) - The platform integrates with public transit GTFS data to show fixed routes, bus stops, fixed route fleet AVL data to improve multimodal coordination and communication. - The platform includes role-based access control and audit tracking. features to log user activity and support security policies. - Core Platform Capabilities • Web-based operating platform • AI algorithms that analyze roadway and mobility data to provide real-time traffic insights and incident notifications. • Visualization tools that provide a comprehensive roadway view, including vehicular speed mapping (like google traffic), unconfirmed and active incidents. • Integration with public transit data, General Transit Feed Specifications (GTFS). • Customizable alerts with public communication tools that can be measured. o Traffic Alerts (Granicus, X, Facebook, etc.). o Navigation Providers (Waze, Google Maps, Apple Maps, TomTom, Haas, Drivewyze, Motive, etc.) o Specialized Notification (Freight, Connected Vehicles, Transit, Uber, Lift). • Real-time weather information (Radar or severe weather warning system), RWIS and regional rainfall gauge data.
