The vendor is required to provide user testing software platform for include:
- Platform specifications
• Provide a user testing interface for test participants in both english and French to allow the agency to test both english and French content.
• Allow agency staff to create, save and perform remote moderated and unmoderated user tests of agency web pages, applications and prototypes.
• Record video and audio of the user test sessions and store the recorded test sessions for the duration of the contract.
• Allow agency staff to view all recorded user test sessions requested by the agency for the duration of the contract.
• Allow agency staff to create and download unlimited video clips of the recorded test sessions to be included in presentations and shared with project teams and management.
• Allow for the sharing of test videos and audio transcripts with other agency employees via shared links to the platform.
• Allow for multiple user tests to be run concurrently.
• Allow for a range of user testing methodologies that include, but are not limited to: moderated user testing, and unmoderated user testing.
• Allow for test participants to access tests in an agency staging environment – e.g., GitHub, alpha.ca, test.ca,
• Allow for multiple test configurations (i.e., different browsers and different devices)
• Be available to the agency to use at their convenience without having to engage the platform contractor.
• Be accessible twenty-four hours per day and seven days per week outside of regularly scheduled or urgent maintenance.
• Have a user-friendly dashboard (i.e., well-organized, clean, clear, uncluttered and easy to navigate display) where tests, test results and test statistics can be easily viewed and managed by agency staff.
• Allow for remote moderated and unmoderated user testing.
• Allow for testing with desktop and mobile devices.
• Allow for testing of prototypes, websites and online applications (ex. online estimators, calculators).
• Allow for pre-test screening surveys to ensure that test participants meet the following demographic criteria.
• Support current and future releases of common internet browsers, including: google chrome, microsoft edge, safari, and Firefox.
• Provide a system usability scale score (sus) after each user test.
• Allow agency staff to create user tests in the platform and save them.
• Allow for the exporting of reports in excel or word formats.
• Allow for the exporting of video and audio recordings.
• Provide statistics on the number of tests, the types of tests, as well as the different technologies (desktop, mobile, tablet) tested by the agency during the duration of the contract.
• Allow for the exporting of the following test metrics in excel or word format.

• Limit information system access to authorized users.
• Disable inactive accounts after period of time.
• Automatically audit account creation, modification, enabling, disabling, and removal actions, and notifies identified personnel.
• Enforce approved authorizations for logical access to the system using user roles and access privileges.
• Audit the execution of privileged functions.
• Prevent non-privileged users from executing privileged functions that disable, circumvent, or alter implemented security.
• Limit unsuccessful logon attempts.
• Generate and send audit records daily to a separate system or media to maintain integrity of log information.
• Send customizable alerts in the event of an audit processing failure.
• Send a warning to define personnel within time period when the audit storage space reaches defined percentage of storage capacity.
• Review and analyze audit records from multiple components within the system.
• Provide audit reports when required and the audit reports must not alter the original content.
• Generate audit reports for events of interest based on audit fields within audit records.
• use internal system clocks to generate time stamps for audit records and synchronizes the internal system clocks to the authoritative time source.
• Protect audit information and tools from unauthorized access, modification, and deletion.
• Back up audit records daily onto a medium that is not the solution being audited.
• Allow designated roles to select which auditable events are to be audited by specific components of the information system.
• Have an alternative communication capability to maintain continuity of operations.
• Uniquely identify users.
• Have replay-resistant authentication mechanisms for network access to privileged and non-privileged accounts.
• Authenticate any server-to-server communication.
• Authenticate defined devices before establishing a connection using bidirectional authentication that is encrypted.
