Unified Communications Platform

USA(Connecticut)
SYS-4006

RFP Description

The vendor required to provide unified communications systems for cloud solutions whose product offering meets or exceeds current city requirements and whose complete product offering provides a robust solution that will allow the city to continue to leverage this investment well into the future as the needs of the city continue to grow.
- The long-term goal is to implement a unified communications platform for convergence of systems to support citywide communications.
- The implementation should be done in phases with different buildings going on different days, as moving all phones in one day does not seem possible.
- Current environment
•    Unified phone system throughout five locations on the network backbone, and another seven that have lines provided by the local cable company.
•    The city also has a community recreation center which currently has a ring central VoIP system being shared by city employees, as well as a partnering company.
•    It is imperative that any new system must blend in with the ring central system.
- Network:
•    City network consists of cisco switches and voice routers for all buildings on the backbone.
•    Remote locations have cable internet with cisco VPN routers to connect back to the city's network.
•    The remote locations have VoIP phones that are provided by the cable provider.
- System and user features for all communications channels
•    Provide a response to implement the new system and indicate which features are standard and which are extra-cost options.
•    Bidders should differentiate between one-time costs and recurring costs in their proposal.
•    Each feature is enabled to provide additional context or highlight differentiable capabilities.
•    Solution is not being proposed, bidders should also provide documentation evidencing the system is compatible with ring central.
•    Providing a system manual is not an acceptable response to this section.
•    Cite any system feature limitations relating to software or interaction with other features.
•    Provide a list of features that are included in the proposed voice solution.
