Learning Management System

The vendor required to provide learning management system (LMS) is an important communication tool used to manage teacher, student, and parent and guardian interaction and collaboration and provides access to learning resources and other content.
- Provides tools for teachers to develop and manage courses, track assignments, create rubrics, makes learning accessible, provides reporting and data analysis functionality. 
- Ideally it could also be utilized to support the division’s staff professional development and learning activities.

•    Employ the use of a LMS to support online learning to replace the LMS taken out 5 years ago,
•    Set up and configuration a new solution,
•    Replacement of existing integrations,

•    Multiple language support - within the solution, can language be set by course; for example, a teacher could set a French immersion course to French language

•    The solution, the division support has the ability to toggle availability of most and all features at the organizational, school and per course basis
•    Customizable dashboard - confirm that the solution offers a customizable dashboard to monitor and analyze various aspects of learner performance by generating graphs, performing calculations, and tracking key progress indicators.
•    "Create surveys - the solution has functionality for creating surveys to collect feedback (either built in functionality or integration with a third-party application)  
•    Custom web pages - confirm that the solution allows customization of login pages, home pages, landing pages, etc.
•    "Student portfolio - describe how the solution supports students in building a digital portfolio, easily adding learning artifacts, assessments, and media that stays with the student record. 
•    The solution must have the ability to customize labels and data fields and values to the division terminology.  
•    The solution should have the ability to save personal preferences for filtering, sorting, default values. Confirm ability to meet this requirement.
•    The capability for the division support to simulate user types within the solution: 
o    Teachers see what parent user types can see 
o    Teachers see what student user types can see - system admin see what any user type can see"
•    The capability for the division support to impersonate users within the solution: 
o    Teachers impersonate a specific student to troubleshoot 
o    Teachers impersonate a specific parent to troubleshoot 
o    System admin impersonate any specific user to troubleshoot"
- Content and course management
•    Content creation tool - the solution offers built-in content creation tools that allow creating text content for lessons, presentations, etc.
•    Content creation tool - the solutions capability for users to pull built-in interactive elements (i.e., drag and drop, matching) into html content pages.
•    "Course builder - the solution provides built-in course authoring tools to create courses via: 
o    Building and creating new content 
o    Prebuilt content from outside the LMS 
o    Existing content by uploading existing files from local disks, including microsoft word and excel documents, pdfs, power-points, videos, etc. 
•    Build interactive components in video 
o    The solution allows building interactive elements, such as multiple-choice questions, flashcards, click and learn, etc., into videos and presentations for learner engagement.

o    The solution offers a centralized place to add, store, update, and track all learning and content materials, handbooks, or technical documentation?
•    The solution the user to apply changes to a set of courses based on criteria (rather than having to amend each course individually)
•    Course catalog - the solution's course catalog functionality - is it possible to display a list of all the available or upcoming courses? What level of interaction does the user have with the catalog
•    "Assign courses to a user - define how the solution manages enrolment, specifically can the solution manage: 
o    Assigning courses and users via integration with PowerSchool 
o    Manually assigning courses to learners directly from the LMS - self-enrolment 
o    Invite learners to sessions or events, ability to send invites to learners for sessions or events through notifications".
