RFP Description

The vendor is required to provide for vehicle GPS tracking and management system.
- GPS tracking
•    Global positioning system (GPS)
•    Horizontal positioning accuracy of fifteen (15) feet or better
•    Speed accuracy of 3 feet per second (2 mph) or better
•    Real-time tracking less than or equal to 10 seconds, or better, and tracking at cardinal positioning turn of more than 45 degrees.
- Experienced power drainage from improperly connected GPS units in the past that has drained batteries and caused other issues to onboard modules and programming.
- Should a satisfactory solution be proposed by the vendor such that GPS is active regardless of the vehicle and equipment be starting, the real-time tracking increases to tracking every two hours after ignition stop to preserve power usage draw from vehicle and equipment batteries.
- GPS wiring of county vehicles will be coordinated by the vendor with the various departments for vehicle and equipment availability, and locations.
- When the program is opened on desktops, laptops, or tablets the map shall be centered over county and shows the entire County with the ability to zoom in on specific locations.
- The ability to establish measured trips based on various trip configurations to include, but not limited to, ignition start and stop, motion stop and start.
- Multi-map providers (Google Maps, Open Street Maps, etc.) with the ability to turn on and off features such as restaurants, gas stations, point of interest, and other map identifying features.
- The intent is for the map to show the roads and not clutter the map with other incidental information such as restaurants, hotels, etc. that takes away from the visual clarity during operations.
- Custom geofences (polygon, circle, route) that can be turned on and off from view
- Latency – live data displayed on desktop software within 5-10 seconds of transmission
- Driver Behavior Monitoring
•    Speeding
•    Harsh braking / acceleration / cornering
•    Idling
•    Entry/exit geofences
•    Optional video-based behavior if using dashcams
- Dispatch & Routing (Optional)
•    Route creation and assignment
•    Real-time ETA updates
•    Route deviation alerts
•    Job/stop management
