- The pharmacy’s goal is for its packages to be delivered on the scheduled delivery date.
- Mandatory requirement:
• Provide system implementation and use of software initial training.
• The ability to perform tracking and monitoring services daily, to include:
o Obtain parcel outbound shipment data from shipper and shipper’s carriers of all packages.
o Ability to track packages, monitor them, react to delays, and intervene when necessary to keep shipment on course.
• Provide a web-based user interface for package tracking with ability to automate or activate actions to include:
o Reschedule for delivery
o Rescue
o Customer pickup
o Trace
o Reattempt
o Redirect
o Remove request for signature
o Future delivery
o Return to sender
• Provide a vendor portal that provides shipper with the ability to enhance their 5-day zip code prediction, action distressed shipment avoidance, ship mode and time in transit calculator and access to basic reporting for all specialty medical shipments with parcels.
• System must provide full visibility to in-transit packages.
• Provide unlimited account support twenty-four/seven (24/7).
• Solution must monitor for expected delays such as weather and other expected delays that will impact shipments.
• Solution must include criteria for when a shipment should be held, the ability to trace each shipment after it leaves the facility and the ability to provide notification to patient and pharmacy if shipments will be delayed.
