Laboratory Information Management System

The Vendor is required to provide requires a modern, cloud-based laboratory information management system (LIMS) purpose-built for high-throughput veterinary diagnostic workflows.
- The system must support state data residency, direct instrument integration without third-party middleware, secure SSO using agency Entra ID, configurable test definitions, and comprehensive reporting. 
- Based on extensive market benchmarking and vendor evaluation, Trace First (CoreOne for Labs) is the only supplier capable of meeting all mandatory agency requirements within the required implementation timeline.
- The software must meet the following requirements:
•    Demonstrated ability to implement a full veterinary diagnostic LIMS within 5 months or less.
•    Proven methodology and experience deploying LIMS at scale for high‑throughput veterinary diagnostic laboratories.
•    Full Canadian data residency for the entire system and all stored data.
•    100% cloud‑based architecture requiring no on‑premise servers, databases, or backup infrastructure.
•    Purpose built for veterinary diagnostic laboratories (not repurposed from human-health or generic LIMS).
•    Proven support for all unit laboratory sections, including, but not limited to: Anatomic pathology, Bacteriology, Serology, Parasitology, Molecular diagnostics, Clinical pathology.
•    User‑editable test definitions and workflows supporting unit methodologies and future expansion.
•    Barcoding for sample accessioning, storage, retention, and disposal.
•    Integrated client portal with real‑time case status.
•    Direct database access for business intelligence and analytics tools.
•    Comprehensive, secure API for third‑party integrations.
•    Out‑of‑the‑box monthly invoicing extract compatible with PeopleSoft upload.
•    Native secure SSO using agency Entra ID (Azure AD).
•    Must support AAVLD and ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation requirements.
•    Must be compatible with Global Vet Link (GVL) reporting.
