The Vendor is required to provide for a fuel management software system.
- Objective:
• Develop a general understanding of fuel management software system offerings in the marketplace, including options for on-premise and/or cloud-based software solutions
• Determine options for software that is compatible with existing fuel pump/card reader hardware and/or options that require replacement of fuel pump hardware
• Obtain vendor feedback regarding deployment models, leading practices and pricing structures
• Solicit vendors’ perspective on best practices for deploying a Fuel Management Software System
- Functionalities:
• Driver authorization and ID numbers for fueling. The system maintains active and inactive authorized users.
• A vehicle listing of active and blocked vehicles. Surplus units are blocked to prevent unauthorized fuel use.
• Departmental break-down for reporting fuel usage.
• System authorizes fuel types registered for the vehicle’s type of fuel. This ensures proper fuel is dispensed – e.g. Gasoline only goes in Gasoline vehicles.
• Mileage for vehicles can be tracked.
• Reports can be run monthly by department.
• Reports on ID number and employee – which vehicles they are fueling and when.
• Maintain a record of fueling and data associated with the fueling, used for billing purposes in the Maximo system. Referred to as Fuel Polling.
