The Vendor is required to provide pharmacy benefit transparency tool services for the Plan.
- Work with members to identify lower-cost prescription drug options and educate them on how to talk with their medical provider and request a change.
- The transparency tool must be available online
- The tool must provide sufficient member education to allow informed decisions among alternative products and options.
- Member registration for vendor services shall include the option for members to designate their preferred method of contact and preferred hours for contact.
- Having identified an opportunity to reduce the member’s cost, improve adherence, or enhance patient care, the vendor may contact the healthcare provider to discuss alternative drug therapy and determine whether the provider will prescribe a change.
- Provide members with the option to opt out or unsubscribe from notifications and services.
- In cooperation with the agency staff, the vendor shall annually develop a marketing campaign to promote registration on the vendor portal for new and existing employees.
