Transit Planning and Scheduling Software

The Vendor is required to provide transit planning and scheduling software must support fixed-route transit planning, scheduling, and operational analysis, and must integrate with existing systems including AVL and CAD platforms.
- General software requirements
•    Solution must be a cloud-based, browser-accessible platform that supports seamless integration between planning and scheduling modules, preferably within a single unified system.
•    It should allow for unlimited projects and unlimited user accounts with role-based access controls. 
•    The platform must be vendor-hosted on secure, soc-2 compliant infrastructure and include essential features such as auto-save, versioning, rollback functionality, and file archiving.
•    Functionality such as undo and redo for planning and scheduling changes is also essential to support flexible and error-tolerant workflows.

- Transit scheduling module
•    Maximize driving hours per shift, per day, and per week
•    Allow minimum and maximum numbers of rosters to be generated allow variable total days worked per week
•    Include all required breaks: meal, rest, bathroom
•    Minimize split shifts
•    Maintain consistent start times when possible
•    Support consistent or variable run assignments
•    Minimize overtime and enforce overtime caps
•    Allow programmable deadhead miles and time
•    Allow programmable vehicle inspection time
•    Minimize driver and shift changes or maximize driver and shift change efficiency
•    Create roster groups with unique rule sets for different driver categories
•    Allow each roster group to have its own preferences, limits, and scheduling rules allow customization of shift names different from run and block names
•    Allow bulk action changes such as copy and paste, delete, shift name changes, etc.
•    Ability to lock some rosters while recalculating others
•    Reporting capabilities:
o    Balanced distribution of shifts across all rosters
o    Total paid hours, worked hours, guaranteed hours, and overtime hours averaged work hours
o    Total rosters
o    Rosters with consecutive days off, consistent start times, consistent runs, and split shifts

•    Real-time, same day scheduling changes
