RFP Description

The Vendor is required to provide unlock economic potential and create economic security for all state by connecting state to good jobs, creating stronger businesses, and building thriving neighborhoods across the five boroughs.
- The Business Solution Center services will help develop and maintain stable employers by helping them start, operate, and grow their small businesses in agency.
- Staff borough with generalist Business Advisors 
•    Staff will be responsible for maintaining a physical presence at flagship and satellite locations and maintaining a presence and relationships throughout small business communities within the Service Area borough. 
•    Business Advisors will be expected to build and maintain trusted relationships with community-based organizations and can be comprised of contractor staff or subcontractors.
•    They will be responsive to inquiries from small businesses through self-generated business development and from referrals from agency (e.g., from agency staff, the agency Hotline, 311, etc.) or other organizations. Selected contractor will be expected to recruit, train, and retain qualified staff (or subcontractors) capable of providing excellent customer service in various languages, with a focus on Russian, Spanish, Chinese, Korean, and Haitian Creole, while ensuring prompt responses to inquiries and maintaining high levels of satisfaction. 
•    Business Advisors will be expected to represent agency services at events within the Service Area borough and citywide as requested by agency.
- Connect businesses with Business Education – connect businesses to courses to guide them as they start, operate and grow. Courses focus on core topics (entrepreneurship, business planning, financing, etc.) and will be available in multiple languages.
- Be integrated into existing community-based organizations, libraries, city agencies, or other similar venues; Locations should be distributed across the Service Area geography to optimize reach to small businesses.
- Responsible for identifying and proposing a flagship location for the center, which will serve as the central location for the borough.
- Events – conduct at least one event in-person each quarter to create networking opportunities for local businesses and community partners.
- Track and report on long-term customer outcomes to assess the sustained impact of the services provided. This will involve monitoring progress through virtual follow-ups, periodic surveys, and digital check-ins with clients. In-person visits, when deployed, will also serve as a touchpoint for assessing long-term results. Data on these outcomes will be documented in the CRM system and reviewed in reports that detail customer progress and success indicators, such as jobs maintained and created.
- Capture, document, and vet success stories and customer feedback during virtual and in-person interactions that highlight the positive impact of services. These stories will be gathered through virtual surveys, interviews, and direct customer interactions as well as during in-person visits. A list will be maintained for these success stories, and they will be used for ongoing promotional efforts.
- Maintain and update customer service, demographic, and economic data in the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system regularly to guide virtual and in-person service delivery. This data will provide a comprehensive understanding of the customer base and market segment served. Client-facing staff should be equipped with mobile devices to input data in real time.
