• The prior learning assessment (PLA) platform is the system used by students, evaluators, advisors, and staff to facilitate and manage the individualized credit for prior learning (ICPL) process.
• The platform, students submit documentation and evidence of their learning (e.g., essays or portfolios).
• Then assigned to assess the submissions and may engage directly with students to further evaluate their knowledge.
• The current platform supports a structured, multi-step workflow that manages ICPL requests from initial submission through final approval and posting of awarded credit to the banner student information system (SIS).
• It also maintains a roster of qualified evaluators for assignment and integrates with the institution’s payment system.
