The Vendor is required to provide integrated library system (ILS) is the backbone application for the entire library system and provides mission critical functions, which include, but are not limited to: basic circulation functions; bibliographic maintenance; acquisition of library materials; renewals of library materials; patron-placed holds; public access catalog; integration with third-party vendors for computer reservation system, self-checkout workstations, automated e-mails, telephonic notifications to patrons, provisions of e-commerce, and collection services.
- Back-end systems:
• The back-end systems are systems that the contractor, library staff, or information technology staff operate to provide library resources and materials via an online catalog interface, streamline operations, manage administrative and financial tasks, and provide a seamless user experience.
- Requirements
1. Data export
• By submitting a proposal in response to this RFP, proposers agree to the following conditions: upon the expiration or earlier termination of the contract, proposer shall provide city with electronic copies of the data collected and recorded (if any).
• Data format will be agreed upon by both the city and the proposer, but at a minimum, data records will be provided in ASCII comma separated value (CSV) format, with binary images in tiff, jpg or pdf format.
2. Date ownership
• The city retains for itself ownership and rights of ownership to all data entered into or maintained by the ILS.
• Proposer acknowledges that city retains ownership and rights of ownership to all of its data.
• Proposer shall not, without the written consent of the city, copy or use such records, except to carry out contracted work, and will not transfer such records to any other party not involved in the performance of the contract
3. Work schedule
• The selected contractor will work the hours that meet the demands of the project.
• The schedule of the selected contractor(s) will be discussed with the project manager as the project tasks and activities are developed.
