The Vendor is required to provide decision support solution system that would support the following functions:
• The system will support a healthcare system with multiple hospital facilities and a large ambulatory care network of physicians.
• The system will support the integration of data from multiple financial systems including, but not limited to OHPAC, Invision, athenaidx, Lawson, etc.
• A minimum of two years of historical information is required as part of the implementation for each of the facilities and physician practices.
• The system will provide a mechanism for advanced cost accounting methodologies and revenue modeling capabilities to provide insight into true cost and margin for both hospitals and physician practices.
• The system will support various industry standard costing methodologies.
• Overhead cost allocation needs to allow for the upload of custom statistics as well as have the ability to create system-generated statistics.
• The system will support service line profitability analyses, strategic business plan initiatives, managed care negotiations, and cost savings opportunities.
• The system will support analyzing episodic patient cohorts across the full continuum of care including the linking of both hospital and physician encounters related to patient’s diagnosis or management of care.
• The system will enable the hospital to compare actual charges, contractual allowances and Other adjustments to modeled revenue and cash receipts by encounter, plan, service, drg, apc, etc. To support revenue cycle improvement activities.
• The system will provide an easy-to-use reporting tool with drill-down capabilities and embedded visualization tools in support of strategic and financial planning activities.
• The reporting tool will support automated scheduling and distribution.
• It must also include the ability to export data to external data visualization tools and warehouse solutions.
• The system will provide standard audit reports from data loads, cost accounting processing and revenue calculations.
• Audit reports should be easy to access, manipulate and download.
• The system will enable the hospital to electronically distribute regularly scheduled reports and provide authorized users with the ability to export reports and data to other applications such as tableau.
• The system will provide the capability to report quality metrics such as readmission and day-of-stay data.
• The system will support a parallel test environment.
• The system will have an archiving solution for historical data.
