- To secure for an adaptive assessment SaaS that measures achievement and growth.
- The district requests the following components to ensure that the math assessment meets the intended outcome:
• Research based
• Ability to assess students 3-5 times throughout a school year.
• Adaptive in nature to meet the need
• Assesses both achievement and growth
• Utilizes the quantile framework scale to indicate readiness for algebra as well as college and career.
• Web-based with ability to sync for single sign on with current systems.
• Meets web content accessibility guidelines, and at a minimum provides:
o Reading support (accessibility features) to assist students with reading difficulties to accurately measure mathematics achievement and not reading proficiency.
o The ability to print or change text into other forms people need, such as large print, braille, speech, symbols or simpler language
o Captions available for any prerecorded audio and video content
o Distinguishable format allowing users to see and hear content in accessible ways (for example color overlays, audio control, and the ability to resize text up to 200 percent)
o Adjustable timing accommodation feature to provide students with enough time to read and use content
o Adherence to the three flashes and below threshold, which means the product does not contain video content in a way that is known to cause seizures or physical reactions
o Keyboard accessible, not reliant on the screen for students to answer questions
• Inspection at the teacher level – awarded offeror shall provide training for effective implementation and data usage for teachers utilizing the assessment:
o Immediate data that can be used to adjust instruction.
o Addresses students’ individual needs
o Provide growth over time towards college and career readiness.
o Parent information that can be sent home.
o Alignment to state math standards
• Inspection at the district level – awarded offeror shall provide training for effective implementation and data usage for district leaders:
o Data including quantile measures at the classroom, campus, and student level.
o Ability to create customized assessments
o Growth toward college and career readiness
o Use of accessibility features.
