The Vendor is required to provide mass emergency notification system for university
- The system will be used to ensure that students, faculty and staff are rapidly notified and enabled to respond quickly and safely to any emergency incidents affecting the University.
- Hosting
• Be primarily cloud-hosted by the vendor
• Facilitate hot-swappable redundancy architecture for any on-premises appliances, if needed for secondary system integrations
- Inbound Integrations
• Accept incoming activations from agency external detection systems (eg. OmniLert Gun Detection)
• Accept panic button activations from campus phone handsets (see Phone System below)
• Accept physical panic button activations using vendor-provided hardware
- SMS and Email Notifications
• Direct SMS mass messaging without the need for a mobile app
• Bulk email distribution to internal and external recipients
- Integrate with agency cloud and on-premises Cisco phone system to facilitate alert delivery by text-to speech and recorded voice messages to handsets
- Facilitate specific campus handsets to function as “panic button” inputs that can trigger targeted alerts to specific recipients
- Reporting and Data Management
• On-demand and custom reporting
• Alerting history including delivery/failure for all endpoints, SMS, and email distributions
• Panic button activity logs
• Inbound alert activation history
• Export options of all alerting data for compliance reporting
- Configuration and Templates
• Templates for pre-configured campus messages
• Automated workflows and sequencing of alerting actions
• Pre-determined expiration option for self-registered users (not part of bulk load)
• Real-time monitoring of all enabled endpoints (fire panels, Whelen annunciators, etc.) to include:
• status/health and delivery reports
• Notifications for offline endpoints.
