The Vendor is required to provide provisions for the installation and programming of a facility-wide keyless access system suitable for all exterior man doors across four buildings at the Windham water works (WWW) water treatment facility located.
- System shall be scalable to allow for the incorporation of locks and doors on any future structures that may be built at the treatment facility.
- Requirement:
• Furnish all labor, materials, equipment and supervision for the installation of a facility-wide keyless access system suitable for all exterior man doors across the four WWW buildings as identified below
o Main administration and treatment building – 8 doors.
o Maintenance garage – 2 doors.
o Pump house – 3 doors.
o Greenhouse – 2 doors.
• Furnish 30 physical access credentials and provide programming of credentials for approximately 20 existing WWW employees.
• Provide training to select WWW staff on the newly installed keyless access system including but not limited to:
o Usage of the keyless access units,
o Programming of access credentials,
o Common issues and troubleshooting,
o Usage of any software or web applications associated with the proposed keyless access system.
- Product specifications
• Keyless access system – bidder shall propose a facility-wide keyless access system that can be implemented across the four existing buildings at the WWW water treatment facility and is scalable to allow for incorporation of any future structures at the facility.
• The proposed system shall allow for individualized credentials through which facility entries can be documented.
• Provide details and specifications of all proposed system components including control panels, card readers, sensors, strikes, etc.
• Battery backup – all essential system components shall have an integrated battery backup to allow for continued operation in the event of a power outage.
• Access credentials – HF RFID key fob type access credentials are preferred.
• Secondary access measures – one door on each building shall be outfitted with a keypad as a secondary access measure in addition to the proposed sensors.
• Request to exit devices – motion sensor type request to exit devices are preferred.
• Main entrance push button door release – the main entrance to the main administration and treatment building shall be equipped with a push button door release control that can be operated from office administrator’s desk.
• Submittals – the contractor must provide details and specifications of all proposed system components including control panels, card readers, sensors, strikes, etc.
• Provide information regarding any software or web applications that must be utilized for system management, including any routine subscription fees.
- Installation
• Responsible for comprehensive installation of the keyless access system, inclusive of all cutting, coring, drilling, patching, sealing, painting, electrical wiring, network wiring, installation of appropriate hangers and clamps, fire stopping etc.
• Contractor must coordinate closely with WWW personnel for any temporary outages or other installation processes that may interrupt normal facility operations.
• WWW shall provide in each building a POE network switch with open ports for system panels.
