Walk-through Detection System

The Vendor is required to provide Walk-Through Detection Systems capable of identifying concealed weapons or prohibited metallic items as individuals pass through a designated screening area.
- The system must support high-throughput, low-disruption screening suitable for school environments, allowing students, staff, and visitors to enter buildings safely without removing personal items such as backpacks, purses, or electronics.
- System will enhance campus security, improve threat detection accuracy, and reduce bottlenecks during peak entry times.
- System Design Requirements
•    Must be a walk-through detection system designed for screening individuals in motion.
•    System may be open-frame or traditional arch-style but must allow continuous flow without requiring individuals to stop.
•    System must operate as a freestanding unit and not require permanent installation or structural modification.
•    Must be suitable for indoor or outdoor deployment.
- The system must:
•    Detect a wide range of metallic weapons, including:
o    Handguns (full-size, compact, micro-compact)
o    Knives and bladed weapons
o    Long guns or components
o    High-threat metallic items concealed in bags or clothing
•    Provide automatic threat discrimination to reduce nuisance alarms from:
o    Keys
o    Phones
o    Laptops
o    Common school items
•    Support real-time, continuous scanning of individuals walking at normal pace.
•    Must allow individuals to pass through without removing backpacks, purses, or personal electronics.
•    Alarm rate must be low enough to maintain efficient flow during school arrival times.
