The Vendor is required to provide vehicle identification number (VIN) decoding solutions that can support a wide range of vehicle categories, including automobiles, trucks, multipurpose vehicles (MPVS), motorcycles, and various trailer types.
- Requirement:
• The types of vehicles and vehicle subclasses supported by the vendor’s decoding service.
• The categories of data elements typically returned, such as year, make, model, equipment, options, trim, engine information, fuel type, weights, GVWR or GVWR class, ADAS features, and trailer-specific attributes.
• Additional or enhanced data attributes beyond the examples listed above.
• High-level methodologies or approaches used to source, derive, or validate option-level or attribute-level data.
• The ability of the vendor’s service to provide decoding information for region-specific vehicle models or models not distributed within the state.
• Examples of typical data output that illustrate general decoding capabilities (non-binding, representative samples only).
