- Provide specialized consulting services to advise agency on a potential opportunity to operate and manage a healthcare system that includes a hospital and community clinics (“Healthcare System”).
- Services include:
• Assessing the operations, organization, and financials of the healthcare system.
• Evaluating operating model options and making recommendations.
• Defining governance framework, roles, decision rights.
• Identifying operational requirements.
• Analyzing financials.
• Implementing a high-level road map.
- Executive summary reviewing the overall opportunity that highlights the benefits and risks and proposes a future model of success for the relationship for the academic acute care model. The summary should speak to the projected strengths of the health system and sustainability. The summary will include a high-level next steps or phased approach to the evaluation process.
- Assessment: The assessment process includes a review of the current strategic plan/priorities of the health system, a high-level review of the financials, an overview of the market dynamics and leadership structure.
- Analysis: Financial review, resource review including graduate medical education programs. Identify academic partnerships (high-level). Overall program and services offered by organization and the size and overall composition of medical staff (employed vs. independent numbers).
- Provide a plan for next steps in the evaluation of the opportunity that would include time, resources and recommendations regarding additional phased approach to implementation.
