The Vendor is required to provide for a new audio visual system for the auditorium.
- This project represents a complete teardown and rebuild of two legacy generations of infrastructure that will be entirely removed, providing a fresh foundation built on modern, networked technologies.
- The new system will support theatrical productions, concerts, assemblies, and broadcast applications with professional-grade performance, intuitive operation, and long-term maintainability.
- Demolition and Removal
• Remove the existing house PA loudspeaker system, including all speaker enclosures, amplifiers, processors, and associated cabling.
• Remove all existing AV racks, control gear, patch panels, wall plates, and I/O panels throughout the auditorium, control booth, and backstage areas.
• Remove all legacy wiring within conduit and open runs to provide a completely clean infrastructure.
• Carefully remove and catalog any reusable conduit and rigging hardware that may be integrated into the new design.
• Remove the existing digital mixing console and stage racks. The removed console, speakers, and amplifiers will be stored and made available for reuse at another district facility as directed.
• Dispose of all obsolete cabling and components in accordance with local e-waste standards.
- New Infrastructure and System Rebuild
• Provide new AV infrastructure throughout the auditorium, booth, stage wings, and backstage corridors.
• Re-use existing loudspeaker rigging points or install new points as necessary for the new PA system where structurally appropriate and compliant with current safety standards.
• Pull all new cabling for audio, video, data, and control systems. Cabling will be rated for in-wall installation and neatly dressed, labeled, and terminated at both ends.
• Provide new equipment racks with proper power sequencing, surge protection, UPS battery backup of critical components, labeling, ventilation, and cable management.
• Install new conduit runs as needed to support signal distribution between the stage, booth, and projection/control areas.
• Provide new wall plates and floor pockets for all microphone, line-level, network, communication and video connections as defined by the user.
- Video and Network Infrastructure
• Provide a fiber backbone where necessary to support high-bandwidth video and data transmission between booth, stage, and technical locations.
• Install NDI-capable network switches and infrastructure to support camera feeds and IP-based video distribution for streaming and archiving.
• Supply a complete 12G-SDI video routing and distribution system for live image magnification, relay feeds, confidence monitors, and recording systems.
• Install new video I/O plates in backstage areas, side wings, and control positions for flexible connection of cameras, playback devices, and projectors.
• Provide a central video matrix switcher capable of routing both baseband (SDI) and IP video signals across all connected systems.
• Ensure proper timecode synchronization between video and audio systems for integrated playback and live event production.
• Include all necessary interconnects, converters, and clocking devices for a fully compatible mixed-format environment
