The Vendor is required to provide for job profiling and workplace skills assessment system.
- The job profiling tool or process must identify the skill requirements and skill levels required to perform successfully in a specific job. It is estimated that 25 job profiles will be performed annually.
- The assessment tool(s) will be utilized to measure the workplace skills of a diverse group of workers that include the employed, unemployed and underemployed workers who have varying degrees of education and abilities. The assessment results will be used to identify skill gaps and training needs, identify Educational Functioning Levels for adult education, for case management and hiring decisions, to promote economic development, and to develop training solutions in conjunction with the profiling results. It is estimated that 16,000 assessments will be administered annually (3 assessments per person on average).
- The assessment system should include a component that provides preparation for testing and remediation in foundational skills such as literacy skills in language/reading, math and basic career skills and self-management or soft skills.
- The certificates and/or credentials must document the skills and skill levels measured by the skills assessments. It is estimated that 1200 certificates will be generated annually.
