The Vendor is required to provide to select a proven, vendor-hosted (cloud-based) ERP solution that provides comprehensive core financial functionality, supports best-practice public-sector business processes, and enables greater efficiency, consistency, and data-driven decision-making across the organization.
- Solution that improves usability for both central and departmental users, strengthens budgetary and financial controls, enhances reporting and analytics capabilities, and supports long-term operational sustainability.
- Establish a unified, cloud-based ERP platform for financial operations that replaces fragmented legacy systems and enables financial data to be managed within a single system.
- Simplify and standardize financial workflows to reduce manual work, including spreadsheet tracking and other work performed outside the system, and ensure consistency across departments.
- Improve reporting and access to financial data by providing timely, reliable insights without the need to manually combine or reconcile data from multiple sources, with the ability to export data in standard formats (e.g., Excel, CSV) as needed.
- Enable staff to perform their work within the ERP system through training, support, and an intuitive user experience.
- Strengthen financial oversight and compliance through consistent processes, clear tracking of financial activity, and support for regulatory and grant requirements.
- The ERP must be designed to integrate seamlessly with the City’s broader application ecosystem, including but not limited to payroll, human resources, revenue/billing systems, asset and work order systems, and other departmental or enterprise applications.
