The vendor is required to provide a sanitation system to the schools.
- Provide a complete food service sanitation system composed of the following:
• In-person sanitation and safety trainings;
• Mechanical dish machine chemical program including trainings;
• Agency required material and training;
• Site to site delivery of manual cleaning, hand care, and ware washing materials;
• Management and inventory control system; and
• Documented routine reporting system.
- Shall agree and understand that services shall be performed within the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. If deemed necessary by the nutrition services, nutrition services may request that services be performed outside of these hours.
- Service on dish washing machines will be required on an as needed basis as deemed necessary by nutrition services.
- Service shall also be continued for all school sites that are opened for summer food service programs if deemed necessary by Nutrition Services.
- Provided material including, but not limited to, charts, posters, instructional materials, support materials, bottles, containers, etc. shall be both in English and Spanish. All equipment shall be labeled with instructions in both English and Spanish.
- Provide any instructions to receive discounts for the yearly products and services, if applicable.
- Must be certified to teach National Restaurant ServSafe Manager and Employee programs.
- Provide initial and on-going, in-person, sanitation and safety training.
- Initial Training: The contractor shall provide initial training visits every two (2) weeks during the initial training period, or as requested by Nutrition Services. The initial training period shall last, at minimum, one month.
- Provide on-going training, at minimum, every six (6) weeks during the academic school year for each school site.
- Provide Nutrition Services with computerized service reports after each visit. Contact information for whom to send the reports will be provided to the contractor after award.
- Shall complete the implementation of the program at each school site prior to August 3, 2026 for traditional schools. The contractor shall provide sufficient service personnel to coordinate complete implementation of the program.
- Provide notebooks, binders, and any material deemed necessary for proper documentation and training for each site.
- Site-based training on equipment, proper operation and maintenance of the dish machine to include proper racking, de-liming, appropriate workflow, sanitary loading and unloading and maintenance checkpoints shall be included in the program.
