Hospital Infection Control, Pharmacy and Antimicrobial Stewardship Surveillance and Management System

The Vendor is required to provide to implement a comprehensive, enterprise-wide Hospital Infection Control, Pharmacy and Antimicrobial Stewardship Surveillance and Management System at its main hospital location and will consider implementing at a later date at its satellite hospital and medical care facilities.
- The system will support the Pharmacy Department, and the Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) and Antimicrobial Stewardship programs, by enabling proactive identification, investigation, monitoring, reporting, and prevention of healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) and communicable diseases, and pharmaceutical events.
- The solution must support real-time and retrospective surveillance, automated case-finding, regulatory reporting, outbreak detection, and interdisciplinary communication.
- The system should reduce manual data collection, improve data accuracy, and support evidence-based infection prevention and pharmacy practices while ensuring compliance with all applicable regulatory and accreditation requirements.
- The system will integrate with the infection control surveillance system to support the facility’s antimicrobial stewardship and pharmacy programs.
- The system must also support general medication stewardship efforts which include identification of patients who require timely pharmacist medication review or intervention, cost analyses of specific pharmacist interventions, medication utilization reviews and compliance metrics.
