The Vendor is required to provide configurable, commercial off the shelf (COTS) or Software as a Service (SaaS) Paid Family and Medical Leave (PFML) systems capable of supporting the Commonwealth’s newly established PFML program.
- The PFML program requires a comprehensive technology platform that supports:
• Employer registration and reporting
• Contribution calculation and collection
• Claims intake and adjudication
• Benefit calculation and payment
• Medical Provider Integration
• Appeals processing
• Customer service and contact center support
• Fraud detection and identity verification
• Data analytics and program reporting
• Integration with existing Commonwealth systems (identity, wage data, payments, etc.)
- Responsibilities include:
• Administration of unemployment insurance and related benefit programs in accordance with state and federal law;
• Oversight of employer reporting, wage data collection, and contributions to workforce programs;
• Operation and modernization of systems supporting benefit delivery, employer services, and workforce analytics; and
• Coordination with other state agencies to ensure secure, efficient, and compliant technology operations.
