The Vendor is required to provide operations is its Common Use Passenger Processing System (CUPPS) environment.
- CUPPS is an IT solution that enables multiple airlines to use existing airport infrastructure (computer hardware, peripheral equipment and local area networking) to control passenger and flight processing through each airline’s own host systems.
- The Common Use Terminal Equipment (CUTE)/CUPPS environment provides airlines with the ability to process passengers in the jepsen terminal and/or at the passenger boarding gates on the concourses.
- This includes – but is not limited to - the following airline business capabilities:
• Passenger check-in
• Scan and verify passenger identity documents
• Change passenger seat assignments
• Print passenger boarding passes
• Check in passenger luggage
• Print passenger bag tags
• Scan passenger boarding documents
• Print flight paperwork
- The CUPPS Platform and all associated services are fully hosted and managed in the cloud.
- Proposers shall clearly describe hosting environments, data residency, backup strategies, and system management responsibilities for the selected deployment model.
- The hosted solution must provide the ability to access an alternate route to leverage the agency data network for access by endpoint workstations.
- Provide system redundancy and automatic failover capabilities to eliminate single points of failure. The design shall include secondary data replication, redundant application servers, and geographically diverse backup sites.
- Conduct periodic disaster recovery tests simulating loss of connectivity, hardware, or data center availability. Provide test reports including outcomes, restoration times, and corrective actions taken.
- Define processes and fallback procedures for maintaining essential operations during system outages, including manual workarounds, alternate access methods, and emergency communication protocols.
- Backup Frequency:
• Incremental backups performed at least daily.
• Full system backups performed at least weekly.
- Storage Requirements:
• Backups shall be encrypted and stored in a secure, access-controlled environment separate from primary systems.
• At least one backup copy shall be maintained off-site or in an alternate availability zone.
- System, Network and Security Monitoring
• Endpoint Workstation/Peripheral health
• Cloud server health
• Workstation virtual workspace health
• Airline connectivity health
• Health of WAN Links to the cloud
• Cybersecurity vulnerability monitoring and management
• Cybersecurity event monitoring and incident response.
