The Vendor is required to provide background check solution to include the performance of background check services and a comprehensive, web based, vendor hosted system that the vccs and vendor will use to request, track, and report the services, including implementation and training.

• Solution’s ability to provide comprehensive background check results (e.g., criminal, state of residence, nationwide, social security, sex offender, patriot act, driver’s license (dl) check) on each candidate.
• Provide screenshots, if necessary, to describe your solution.
• Comprehensive employment history for each candidate.
• Process around educational verification.
• Reference checking.
• Drug testing services
• Fingerprinting services
• Process for running a background check on candidates with former military and government service
• Typical timeframe covered by your background checks, and is it possible to adjust the duration depending on the complexity of the position
• Compliance with the fair credit reporting act (FCRA), including obtaining a signature from the candidate.
• Electronic data sharing between an applicant tracking, onboarding and a third-party vendor system when processing background checks.
• Electronic exchange and share of candidate records and forms between different institutions
• Communicate background status and provide electronic record updates and notifications (e.g., background check report, candidate profile, and missing information) that automatically notifies institutions and the applicant.
• Capability for reminders and notifications to users (e.g., automate the number of attempts made to contact a candidate to gather additional information before routing back to college HR and failure to complete disclosure and failure to complete by established deadline.)
• Dashboard upon sign-in to indicate background check updates (e.g., number of days outstanding)
• Reporting capabilities on key metrics as defined by the business functionality of the workflow process (e.g., turn-around time, number of transactions and checks, processed, cost per transaction – monthly and annually)
• User defined roles with customized security access for multiple role layers.
• Bi-directional workflow capabilities by functional business process to support role-based security and access at each institution.
