Data Collection Services

The Vendor is required to provide for data collection services for pavement management system.
- The data will be collected for over 3,050 lane-km of paved roadway and the data will be collected in the primary direction. Data to be collected in a single pass on all 2 lane roads and double pass (one pass in each direction) for roads greater than 2 lanes. This amounts to 1,566 lane-km for the Project.
- The pavement surface condition data collection survey will collect distress data and imaging, geometric data and vehicle speed information. The survey will also identify each road by name, AssetID (Provided by the City), to and from location, and agency length. All sections shall be reported in sequential order, in the primary direction of the road, regardless of the direction of travel.
- The support tasks include:
• Communications and updates, including meetings
• Documentation and record-keeping
• Coordination with City Staff
• General administrative tasks required for effective service delivery.
- The Service Provider is to conduct the Pavement Condition Data Collection according to the following operational constraints:
• All data collection to be conducted between sunrise and sunset;
• From sunrise until 12:00 noon, surveys shall only be conducted in the northerly and easterly directions; and
• From 12:00 noon to sunset, surveys shall only be conducted in the southerly or westerly directions.
• The data collection shall be collected after the seasonal load restrictions have been lifted and Street Sweeping is completed. The data collection must be completed by September 30th.
• The draft processed and formatted data report shall be submitted to the City within 6 weeks of the completion of the data collection.
• The final processed and formatted data report shall be submitted to the City by December 31st.
- Provide road Global Positioning System (GPS) coordinates (latitude and longitude) for each interval.
- The survey will also identify each road by name, AssetID (Provided by the City), to and from location, and agency length.
