The Vendor is required to provide the processing equipment, operations, and maintenance and marketing and sale of recovered ferrous and non-ferrous metals, herein referred to as the advanced metals recovery processing system (AMRPS).
- Operations:
• The authority may also request the recovery of aggregate material from the ash when beneficial use opportunities become available.
• The AMRPS equipment must be able to maximize recovery of ferrous metals and non-ferrous metals and produce an aggregate that meets the required specifications in the authority’s ash beneficial use plan approved by the department.
• Department recently approved a developmental asphalt mix design (lab design LD 25-2804a) utilizing 30% of the ¼ inch to ¾ inch ash aggregate in the mix.
• Provide electrical power, in the form of a 480 volt, 3 phase, 400 amp service disconnect located on the south boundary of the site, free of charge.
• Provide up to 50,000 gallons per month of industrial supply water in the form of a filling station at the base of the landfill.
• Regulatory reporting and permitting required for assembly and operation.
- Authority’s intent is for the AMRPS to maximize recovery of ferrous and non-ferrous metals from the bottom ash stream.
- AMRPS equipment will include, but not be limited to, a loader, excavator, water truck, multiple ferrous magnets, multiple eddy current separators (ECS), screens, and conveyors.
