The Vendor is required to provide “turnkey” services for integrated communications technology solutions and services to include, but not limited to, telecommunications cabling installations, moves, changes, and repairs to new and existing local area voice, data, or video network and system.
- Requirement:
• Inside plant: horizontal and vertical cabling can consist of both copper and fiber in new buildings, major renovations, and minor moves, ads, changes (macs) and repairs.
• Outside plant: fiber installations that provide for inter-building connectivity may include trenching, directional boring, conduit placement, terminations, splicing, aerial inspections, and repairs.
• Security cameras: new indoor and outdoor security cameras are approved by university police and are often integrated in university enterprise video recording management system.
• Electronic door access: university uses transact campus to manage campus identification cards as well as door access control.
• Av-related projects: university uses a variety of AV equipment in classrooms and conference rooms.
• Other endpoints: in addition to security cameras and electronic door controls, university may require installation services for other networked devices, such as switches, servers, ups, or wireless access points.
