Program Instructor Application

The Vendor is required to provide program instructor applications and program proposals are accepted year-round; however, the department representative will decide the actual program implementation (start) date.

- Program dates
• Winter and spring programs due: first week of September
• Summer programs due: first week of January
• Fall and winter programs due: first week of may
- Course management
• Teach the class and activity as described in the city parks, recreation and libraries rave.
• Teach only the classes contracted to teach.
• Ensure that all participants participate in the program or activity safely through instruction, supervision or class and program management.
• Classes are not to be used as a vehicle to send people to another location, promote your own business, or a more expensive program that you teach elsewhere.
• Carefully train and evaluate your employees as they reflect your business and the city
• Fill out background checks on all employees through the city.
• Maintain first aid and CPR certifications on all staff.
• Meet with the department representative before and after the start of programs.
• Must take attendance at every meeting date.
• Accept critical evaluation of your service and strive to improve weaknesses (based on feedback from participants and city staff).
• Support and adhere to city policies where applicable.
• Teaching under the influence of drugs or alcohol is grounds for immediate contract termination.
• Leave all facilities in good condition after your program.
• Cleaning responsibilities may apply at certain locations.
• Give your undivided attention to your students/participants/parents.
• Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
