The Vendor is required to provide permitting system advances this mission by creating a unified, modern platform that simplifies permit management, reduces duplication, and improves workflow efficiency.
- The new system will provide an end‑to‑end permitting solution that enables applicants to easily submit applications, required documentation, and payments online while supporting streamlined processing, appeals, and reconsiderations.
- Functionalities
• Allow applicants to apply for permits online and provide the required documentation through the application.
• Process applications and allow appeals and reconsiderations processes, as applicable.
• Allow payments through the application.
• Provide a mapping functionality that integrates field and office components, such as GPS coordinates, photography, collection site information, or integrate with existing GIS.
• AD hoc reports and canned reports
• Allows for the import and export of a multitude of file types (such as but not limited to, pdf, csv, Microsoft office formats (docx, .xlsx, ppt., kmz/kml, .zip, .dgn, .mov, avi, png, gif, jpeg).
• Provide a mobile application to allow SOM employees to:
o Fill out forms and take photographs offline and online
o Document location information
• Allow users to sign documentation digitally with digital signature functionality.
• Interface with the SOM single sign on solution (SSO), mi login and the email delivery platform, send grid.
• The new system will need to interface with multiple SOM systems and repositories to receive various types of data critical to the permitting processes and share data with systems dependent on receiving permitting information.
o The types of data the system will need to interface with other systems to either input our output include, but not exclusive to, are accounting, payment, mapping, utility coordination information, document management, templates, boundary information, and contract and agreement information.
