The Vendor is required to provide to design, procure, install, and configure a public address (PA) system at our access garage facility location.
- Requirements gathering
• Conduct a site survey to assess the acoustic characteristics, layout, and infrastructure requirements.
• Engage with stakeholders to determine the specific needs and expectations of the PA system, including audio coverage areas, volume control, and emergency announcements.
- Design and equipment procurement
• Develop a detailed system design considering the site survey findings and stakeholder requirements.
• Implement a commend PA system as part of our existing environment
- Installation and cabling
• Install all necessary cabling infrastructure for the PA system, including speaker cables, audio inputs, and outputs.
• Mount and position speakers strategically in each location, considering optimal coverage, sound dispersion, and aesthetic appeal.
• Install any required equipment, such as amplifiers, mixers, and audio sources, in appropriate equipment racks or enclosures.
• Remove where present the existing system and cabling
• Network cabling must adhere to metro network standards as follow: - cabling: cat6 UTP, plenumrated if required by building code. - Patch panels: 24-port or 48-port cat6 patch panels, rack-mounted. - Wall plates: modular faceplates with cat6 keystone jacks. - Patch cables: - black for standard data connections (e.g., workstations, printers) - red for security devices (e.g., IP cameras, access control panels) - green for wireless access points (WAPS) - labeling: all cables, jacks, and patch panel ports must be clearly labeled with unique identifiers.
• Any other cabling or network related infrastructure please consult metro network cabling standards.
- Testing and commissioning
• Conduct thorough testing of the entire PA system, including speakers, amplifiers, and microphones.
• Verify audio quality, volume control, and emergency announcement capabilities.
• Address any issues or deficiencies identified during testing and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal system performance.
• Include a 2 week support window post implementation for configuration tuning support of volume and zone configurations
- Documentation and training
• Create comprehensive documentation, including system diagrams, equipment lists, network configurations, and user manuals.
• Training sessions for the designated staff members who will operate and maintain the PA system, covering basic operation, troubleshooting, and emergency announcement procedures.
• Training session should include the distribution of a quick reference guide
- Project management
• Assign a dedicated project manager to oversee the entire project, including coordinating with vendors, managing timelines, and ensuring successful project delivery.
• Regularly communicate project progress and milestones to stakeholders, addressing any concerns or changes promptly.
