The Vendor is required to provide work based learning (WBL) platform for include:
1. Student experience and usability
• Independently understand their status, progress, and next steps without routine staff
• Intervention
• Track participation and progression across work-based learning (WBL) programs, with design features that support
• Student autonomy and identification of skill or credential gaps
• Upload, document, and demonstrate soft skills and competencies gained through:
• Prior experience
• Academic coursework
• Training modules
• Participation in WBL opportunities
• View skills and competencies through badges, credentials, milestones, or comparable indicators
• Access colleges -provided career readiness resources and platforms, including:
• Resume and cover letter builders and guidance
• Interview preparation
• Training or learning modules
• Upload, store, and manage certificates, completed trainings, and related documentation
• Log hours worked at WBL employer site
• Communicate with, or provide instant feedback to supervisor, mentor, or program administrator
• View employer feedback where appropriate and permitted by colleges policy
• Complete periodic program evaluations
2. Employer functionality
• Automate hiring and onboarding, track skill development, and manage compliance, all within a
• Unified system
• Engage with students participating in WBL opportunities
• Verify and sign-off on WBL hours worked by the student
• Evaluate and sign-off on workplace competencies (especially for registered apprenticeships)
• Provide structured feedback on student performance and experience, including:
• Soft skills development
• Workplace readiness
• Overall engagement and professionalism
• Interact with the platform through a secure, intuitive interface that minimizes administrative burden
3. Staff and administrative functionality
• Provide, manage, and update student-facing career readiness resources
• Monitor and track student career development and career and work-readiness
• Review and support candidates prior to employer review, to ensure quality referrals and protect
• Employer relationships
• Share application materials (resumes, cover letters) with employers
• Review student (applicant) and on-boarding status
• Review employer feedback and student skill development
• Access WBL on-the-job hours logs
• Administer program evaluations and surveys
• Support multiple programs, cohorts, and stakeholders within a single system
• Track participation across multiple WBL experiences, not limited to a single program, internship,
• Or apprenticeship
• Access reporting or insights to support program management, evaluation, and continuous improvement
4. Platform-level requirements (including salesforce compatibility)
• Support multiple user roles with role-based permissions
• Be scalable across programs, colleges, and departments
• Allow configuration to support evolving WBL models
• Comply with applicable accessibility, data privacy, and security requirements, not limited to:
• Web content accessibility guidelines (WCAG)
• Family educational rights and privacy act (FERPA)
• Support optional or configurable features such as:
• Digital acknowledgements or signature workflows for agreements or required forms
• Student-entered time or hour tracking with employer and staff confirmation
• Integrate with colleges existing salesforce environment used for employer and partner relationship
• Management, including the ability to:
• Exchange relevant data through vendor-supported integration methods
• Maintain data integrity and avoid duplicate records
• Support colleges reporting and workflows that rely on salesforce as a system of record
• Interface with department of labor (DOL) registered apprenticeship partners information
• Database system (rapids) to seamlessly log participant info for registered apprenticeship
• Program (rap) compliance
• Integrate with or complement other colleges systems where feasible
• Provide centralized storage of WBL-related documentation for audit, compliance, or reporting purposes
• Support flexible authentication options, including single sign-on (SSO) and controlled access
